Impending Closure Of Fierce Bingo 0
Posted on 10, October 2013
In April 2013, just six months ago, a new Dragonfish networked brand opened its virtual doors to players. Fierce bingo launched to much controversy as the site specifically tried to appeal to the lesbian and gay demographic but missold itself as being “created exclusively for gay and lesbian players”. This is what we believe caused the failure of the brand and has resulted in the news that the site is to close on 15th October 2013.
There were a number of articles posted about Fierce Bingo disputing this, players who are conversant with the Dragonfish network will know that your sexual orientation is not something that you need to reveal when you register with a site. How then could Fierce Bingo claim that the site was “exclusive” to certain sexual orientations?
If you visit the home page of Fierce Bingo now, before you can visit the login page, this is what greets you:
We would like to inform you that Fierce Bingo will cease operating its gaming services on October 15, 2013.
We thank you for your loyalty and dedication in helping us give you the best bingo experience possible.
Any funds in your account can be cashed out or played on.
*Minimum cashout request £20
Of course it is always sad to hear that a business has failed and we hope that the company behind the brand has learnt something. Maybe if they choose to launch another site then won’t be so specific in their target audience.
