Over the years I have seen numerous advertorials from various online bingo brands, some of the content appeared to have little or no relevance to bingo at all. Health Lottery Underfire From ASA 0

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) received a complaint about a commercial shown in August on the Demand 5 service that offered a special offer for Direct Debit players of the Health Lottery. In the advert viewers were offered the chance to play ‘two weeks free’ via a refund that the advertiser would give when playing the lottery. Every Wednesday the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) publish their rulings for the week and each week we pop along to see if any online gaming companies have had their wrists slapped. Metro Play Online Casino Complaint Upheld By ASA 0

In November 2012 Mirror Casino had their wrists slapped by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) following an advert in the National press which featured Optimus Prime from Transformers (read more here). The reason that the ASA banned the advert in its original format were three CAP Codes that were breached; 1.3, 16.1 and 16.3.12. Metro Play obviously didn’t take heed of this adjudication because on 8th January their regional press ad received the same ruling!
